The Monday, June 8th meeting of the Macon-Bibb County Planning & Zoning Commission will take place entirely online in a virtual format. The online meeting is open to the public and attendees can view the meeting live streamed at https://mbpz.org/streaming/ beginning at 1:30pm.
 
To ensure avoidance of large gatherings as part of Georgia’s efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19, the Monday, June 8th meeting of the Macon-Bibb County Planning & Zoning Commission will take place entirely online in a virtual format. The meeting remains open to the public and attendees can view the meeting conducted live online.
 
No hearings will be conducted at the June 8, 2020 meeting, and only applications for which no opposition has been expressed by interested persons and which are eligible for ratification under Section 27.04 [6] of the Land Development Resolution will be considered at the meeting.  Indication of any such opposition to a particular application must be received by the Commission no later than June 8, 2020, by 1:30 p.m. by one of the methods listed below or it will be deemed that the application has no opposition. Persons objecting must provide their name, address and basis for their opposition to the application they are concerned about.  That basis should include a statement of how they believe the application could affect their own property or person.   Anyone wishing to express objection to any application listed on the agenda for this meeting should contact the Commission by either:

  3. Telephoning the Commission at (478) 751-7460 and either speaking with the staff person who answers or leaving a message;

 Applications to which opposition has been expressed, or which are otherwise not eligible for ratification, will be scheduled for hearing at the soonest possible date; applications without any opposition may still be scheduled for hearing if the Commission has questions or concerns about them.   The Commission will not disapprove of or add conditions to approval of, any applications which have not yet had a hearing without an applicant’s consent. 
 
Prior to voting on items recommended for ratification, the MBPZ Commission will consider administrative matters.
