Administrative Assistant

The Macon-Bibb County Planning & Zoning Commission is offering a challenging career opportunity for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Administrative Assistant.

Major duties: Coordinate audio recording of public meetings, answer & direct incoming phone calls, greet the public, and general office functions including general clerical support, and data entry. Position is under the direction of the Executive Director.

Consideration will be given to applicants with five (5) or more years in a related field. Applicants must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. The successful candidate will be technically competent, highly detail oriented, highly organized and should possess strong verbal and written skills to communicate technical information to the public and work effectively with local, state, and federal agencies.

Applicant must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and technical school diploma with experience in a similar position for at least five (5) years required. Applicants must pass a criminal background check and drug screen. Annual Salary is $33,00 – 35,000. The Commission offers an excellent and competitive benefit package.
