MATS | Detour Notices | Spring 2020
The purpose of this email is to inform you of the upcoming bridge/roadway closures and detours at the following locations:
- SR 247/ Pio Nono Avenue over Norfolk Southern Railroad, Bibb County, PI 0014895
- CR 5813 / College Street over Norfolk Southern Railroad, Bibb County, PI 0014899
The SR 247 / Pio Nono Avenue bridge is anticipated to be closed approximately 30 days. Additional closures to the adjacent Roff Avenue for construction activities are also anticipated.
The CR 5813 / College Street bridge is anticipated to be closed for approximately 5 months.
The closures are expected to begin in Spring 2020.
Please find attached detour maps of the location of each of the bridges, along with the proposed detour route.
Please note that the detour route for the CR 5813 / College Street bridge has been modified from what was previously displayed in the Public Detour Open House on March 5, 2019. The detour has shifted from Pine Street to Plum Street in order to accommodate pedestrian traffic in and around the nearby hospital complex.
Notifications will be sent out 60 days and 30 days in advance of the closures.
