Questions and Responses to RFQ/P MBPZ 2025-002
The following questions were received between June 4, 2025, and June 23, 2025; the MBPZ response is in bold text.
- What kind of traffic analysis is expected as part of the transportation element? We anticipate that the recently completed Freight Study and other MATS documents/information, along with other resources, will be used to provide an assessment of current and anticipated traffic patterns/corridors to identify commercial, industrial, or residential corridors, centers, or nodes. This could include identifying areas that will need infrastructure improvement to accommodate the anticipated traffic, or ways to mitigate potential traffic issues.
- Could the County provide the budget allocated for this project? The cost shall not exceed $300,000.
- Does Macon Bibb have an existing set of communities used for benchmarking purposes? No
- Is there flexibility on the frequency/quantity of Steering Committee meetings? Communication is critical, we prefer that that proposals anticipate this level of detail, however, once the project begins, we will likely change the steering committee meetings to 1 per month or 1 per 2 months. Staff meetings will need to be every 2 weeks for the duration of the project.
- Would you like us to include a proof of insurance certificate with our submittal? It would be appreciated but not required until the contract is signed. Prior to finalization of the contract, we will require Insurance and Indemnity as stated in the RFQ/P.
- In Section VII, 6, the RFQ states that a fixed cost or not to exceed cost should be provided on a separate page. Is it the Commission’s intent for the budget information to be listed on a separate page but bound within the proposal document or should the budget information be separated from proposal document entirely? If separate from the proposal document, how many copies of the budget information should be provided? Please submit the budget as a separate document. You will need to include 5 hard copies and include it on the USB (thumb drive as well).
- In Section VII, 6, the RFQ states that one of the categories for the budget information is “traffic analysis.” Can you please expand upon what Macon-Bibb County Planning and Zoning is expecting for the traffic analysis since that is not outlined elsewhere in the RFP? We anticipate that the recently completed Freight Study and other MATS documents/information, along with other resources, will be used to provide an assessment of current and anticipated traffic patterns/corridors to identify commercial, industrial, or residential corridors, centers, or nodes. This could include identifying areas that will need infrastructure improvement to accommodate the anticipated traffic, or ways to mitigate potential traffic issues.
- Can you please confirm that you expect two (2) Steering Committee meetings a month (as noted in Section III, B) over the course of the project’s 26-month duration? Please see response to question number 4 above.
- Does the County have a specific range in mind for cost for the project? Please see response to question 2 above.
