The Monday, May 29, 2018 meeting of the Macon-Bibb County Planning and Zoning Commission was held in the MBPZ Conference Room, Terminal Station, Suite 300, 200 Cherry Street. the hearing began at 1:30 p.m. Administrative pre-meeting began at noon.


The minutes for the May 14, 2018 hearing and pre-meeting were approved as submitted.

Deferred from Prior Meetings:

A. 4641 Fulton Mill Road: Conditional use to allow a solar farm, A-Agricultural District. Pete Corbett/SolAmerica Energy, Applicant.  Approved with staff report conditions and to maintain a 50 ft undisturbed buffer and install Elaeagnus plants along the applicant side of the buffer on fifteen (15) foot centers. (1st Jones, 2nd Easom)

 B. 740 Mulberry Street: Certificate of Appropriateness to allow design approval of façade modification, CBD-1 District. RC Poss Construction, Applicant. Deferred by Staff

 C. 633 Arlington Place: Certificate of Appropriateness to allow design approval of a new single-family dwelling, HR-3 District. John Losey, Applicant. Deferred by Staff

Conditional Use
  1. 3430 Pio Nono Ave: Conditional use to allow used auto sales, C-4 District.  Jomika Carson, Applicant. Approved with staff report conditions and there will be no detailing on site.  (1st Jones, 2nd Easom)
  2. 380 Plantation Way: Conditional use to allow a fitness center, PDE District. Widner & Associates/Middle Ga Fitness, Applicant. Deferred so that applicant can provide a revised site plan and address the Commissions concerns. (1st Easom, 2nd Jones).
Certificate of Appropriateness
  1. 1089 Rose Place: Certificate of Appropriateness to allow design approval to demolish structure and landscape, HR-3 District.  DeSales Academy/Chris R. Sheridan, Applicant.  Deferred by Staff
